Beast of the Week- Week 3
Another week in the books! My Redskins are still winless, but hey, at least the Terrapins are 4-0. This week treated us with quite a few stud performances. Quarterbacks, receivers, backs, and even tight ends got in on the action. Points were plentiful, but there can only be one Best of the Week. It’s my pleasure to introduce you to the Beast of Week Three- Antonio Brown.
Antonio Brown had big shoes to fill this season with Mike Wallace taking his talents to South Beach. The Steelers’ newly appointed #1 receiver had an OK season leading into this week, but he exploded against the Bears.
After two mediocre games, Antonio took a trip to the coaches’ office, expressing his displeasure with his lack of opportunities to make plays. As a result, Brown went capital-O Off against Chicago, reeling in 9 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Mike who?
What’s more impressive is that Brown did this damage against Charles “Peanut” TIllman, one of the best corners in the league who has finally started to get the recognition he deserves. Brown received a ridiculous 13 targets, but catching nine is quite impressive.
Antonio, you rewarded your loyal fantasy owners, and for that we thank you. Congratulations, you’re our Beast of Week Three.
Honorable Mention: Drew Brees- 342 yards, 3 TDs, 21 rush yards, TD.
Jordan Cameron- 6 receptions, 66 yards, 3 TDs
